Overview
FirstDays™ is a baby care tracking app designed to help new parents and caregivers log feedings, diaper changes, pumping sessions, and weight — and share that information with their healthcare team. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.
FirstDays™ is created and maintained by Ashley Robinson, IBCLC. We are committed to protecting the privacy of you and your baby. Please read this policy carefully before using the app.
Information We Collect
Information You Enter
All data you enter into FirstDays™ is stored exclusively on your device. This includes:
- Baby name, date of birth, and emoji identifier
- Feeding logs (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, duration, volume)
- Diaper logs (type and time)
- Pumping session logs (volume and duration)
- Weight and height entries
- Notes attached to any log entry
Information We Do NOT Collect
FirstDays™ does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically:
- We do not create user accounts
- We do not require or collect your name, email address, or contact information
- We do not collect location data
- We do not use advertising networks or tracking technologies
- We do not share any data with third parties
- We do not have access to any data you enter in the app
How Your Data is Stored
All data entered in FirstDays™ is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s standard on-device storage. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Because your data is stored only on your device:
- If you delete the app, all data will be permanently deleted
- If you lose or replace your device without a backup, your data cannot be recovered
- We recommend using Apple’s iCloud Backup or iTunes Backup to protect your data
In-App Purchase
FirstDays™ offers a one-time in-app purchase called “FirstDays Full Access” for $4.99 that unlocks premium features including full history, growth charts, PDF reports, pumping logs, and weight tracking. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchases are subject to Apple’s privacy policy and terms of service.
PDF Report Sharing
FirstDays™ includes a feature that allows you to generate a PDF summary of your baby’s feeding, diaper, and growth data to share with your pediatrician, IBCLC, or for personal records.
When you generate and share a PDF report:
- The report is generated entirely on your device
- No data is sent to our servers at any point during this process
- You choose where to send the report using your device’s standard share sheet
- Once shared, the report is subject to the privacy practices of the app or service you use to send it
We recommend sharing reports only with trusted healthcare providers and keeping copies in secure locations.
Apple HealthKit
FirstDays™ does not currently integrate with or read from Apple HealthKit. Baby health data entered in the app is not written to or read from the Apple Health app.
Children’s Privacy
FirstDays™ is designed to be used by parents and caregivers to track information about their infant. The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data entered about a baby is entered by the adult caregiver and stored locally on their device. We do not have access to this information.
Your Rights and Control Over Your Data
Because all data is stored on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:
- You can delete individual log entries within the app at any time
- You can delete your baby’s profile and all associated data within the app
- You can delete the app entirely to remove all stored data from your device
We do not hold any of your data and therefore cannot provide, correct, or delete data on your behalf.
Third-Party Services
FirstDays™ does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting services that collect personal information. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is subject to Apple’s own privacy practices and terms of service.
Links to external websites (such as ABM protocols and AAP guidelines in the Advice section) are provided for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of FirstDays™ after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
